my lowest point in this game was being a child and begging on the streets of varrock for 5gp to buy a bronze longsword bc i didn't think to just kill some enemies for it
or was it the time i singlehandedly lowered the market price of cooking apples because i kept taking the respawning ones from the cooking guild and selling them on the grand exchange
or was it even the time i was a new player meeting with my friends and i lost them while running to a new city and i discovered the headbang emote and back then it was like 4 frames and found it so funny i had a laughing fit that made me have to stop using the computer for a bit
or was it the time a guy chased me through falador asking if i wanted his shoes (i didn't want his shoes) but i didn't know what to say so i said nothing and he chased me all through falador asking if i wanted his shoes

I 'twas addicted... played all day and all night...
Then, a friend accidentally threw out the ax... playing on my account (an expensive item in the game... in game coins)... Was furious... Then I thought "I was wasting my time!!" Like... swinging a tree with an ax using my character allllll day and all night? Huh?
Then... I threw out the game (figure of speech)... And I never, ever played it again...
At least, to look at the bright side... It taught me how to trade!! Did much much better than school ever did... ;)

It's hard for me to speak objectively about a game like RuneScape. Most of my fond memories of the game come from the silly things I did with my friends, and not from any actual mechanic of the game. With hindsight I think RuneScape is quite a tedious game, but that never seemed to bother me at the time.
A game with many ups and downs, but overall still one of the best MMOs when it comes to respecting the players goals. While RS3 has become infested with microtransactions, there is a simple fix: Ironman Mode.
Ironman on Runescape 3 is the definitive way to play Runescape, and it my opinion is better than Old School Runescape. The amount of content you are able to get combined with the way the game respects your goals and time combined into a wonderful combination where you can easily sink 3000 hours into the game and still come back for more.
(Maxed RS3 HCIM with 3b+ Exp)
