It was fun when i was 10 but i play osrs now

This game was crack cocaine circa 2006. Too bad the chat was full of diddlers. Haven't played it in over a decade but I hear it sucks now. I wonder if they got the diddlers under control.

runescape hd or as its called runescape 2 was real good. osrs is pretty good. runescape 3 is pretty meh

(Thoughts based on late-game Runescape 2 to early-game Runescape HD.)

I've only played it for about 3 years in middle school but it always felt like a much bigger influence on my life. I would play with my school friends from morning to dusk, finishing quests and fucking around. I would watch the Michinima videos for it, too. I thought it was the coolest game at the time until I moved on to high school. With OSRS bringing back the nostalgia, I was able to retrieve my old account in 2017 but I knew I wasn't going to play it again since I have to start from scratch. This game is best left in the past for me unfortunately, but I do remember it fondly for getting me into gaming. I at least got the official vinyl soundtrack 'cause these are some good ass MIDI jams! The soundtrack for this thing will never not be iconic.

The last time I signed into my decade-old account since RS3 was a thing just to check it out, some kid had some dragon armor and some effect that made his character literally float, and he was persistently asking if I wanted to join his clan while mispelling a few words, that really summed it up for me.

Joguei demais na minha infância, hoje em dia não teria essa paciência.

ironman is 4/5 playing the game with trading is a 1/5

Thanks for being one of the best games I've ever played.

Zaros save me, I have over 10,000 hours logged into this game.

A game with many ups and downs, but overall still one of the best MMOs when it comes to respecting the players goals. While RS3 has become infested with microtransactions, there is a simple fix: Ironman Mode.

Ironman on Runescape 3 is the definitive way to play Runescape, and it my opinion is better than Old School Runescape. The amount of content you are able to get combined with the way the game respects your goals and time combined into a wonderful combination where you can easily sink 3000 hours into the game and still come back for more.

(Maxed RS3 HCIM with 3b+ Exp)

A graphical update from the other runescape games, but ruined by the amount of microtransactions. In addition, the Quality of life updates has sent it to be more of an idle game than an RPG. One bonus it has is its legacy, being very old with constant updates even to this day.

my first interaction with this game was my friend convincing me to be a servant lighting up brazers in her creepy basement so she could train praying with some demon ashes

One time I was in a student council meeting in middle school and someone caught me writing Runescape fanfiction in one of my notebooks and I just about died on the spot

RuneScape 3 is a pretty funny game and my anime girl character got like 20m in handouts from like 3 different people

I wish the grind wasn't as insane as it is, sometimes you have to force yourself to find the fun instead of just... Having it. There's a lot to like tho

Nostalgia talking but this was way more fun than most modern MMOs, especially ones that just copy WoW. Helps this was free to play and you had more customization and freedom from the getgo.

Sadly was not a member so didnt get "real" benefits.

i found a farm with 3 cows in it and i just kept killing them over and over again for weeks just to save up the leather or hide to sell at the grand exchange

RuneScape is like THE one game I would love to experience for the first time again. The only reason I'm giving it just 1 star is because this is gamified crack-cocaine for me and I have quit the game and relapsed into it so many god damn times ever since I started playing it in 2006 it's not even funny anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I will most likely check it out again sometime, so I can see what they've added since I left. I do have to say, although it's grindy as hell, the quests in RuneScape are some of the best and most well-designed in any game I have ever played.

I have over 4k hours on RS3, been playing it since 2007.

From around 2007 to 2018 I was playing it super hard, once i hit all my goals (120 Hunter among other things) I struggled to play more, I would consider myself "retired" from it but who knows.

Heh, been online since 2005. I'll won't be done until Jagex says so. Rating reflects RS3.

I used to pretend to be dumb and give people my password and let them steal my account. i would then wait 3 months or so sometimes to use the recovery system to get it back and by then they would be using my account as an extra storage. So id come back to my account with more money and items than i started with :) (I was 11 btw)

ah I remember when Runescape was released. Sweet sweet Runescape.

I always hated it!

Will you be my girlfriend I'm 11

I 'twas addicted... played all day and all night...

Then, a friend accidentally threw out the ax... playing on my account (an expensive item in the game... in game coins)... Was furious... Then I thought "I was wasting my time!!" Like... swinging a tree with an ax using my character allllll day and all night? Huh?

Then... I threw out the game (figure of speech)... And I never, ever played it again...

At least, to look at the bright side... It taught me how to trade!! Did much much better than school ever did... ;)
