Besides Joker, I'd say this pack is the pinnacle of Ultimate's DLC quality. Everything from Sephiroth's insanely good reveal to his moveset that makes him feel like a boss fight rolled into a character or even the challenge that was included for players to unlock him all signified that this was an all around excellent pick.

Music and stage are both top notch. Final Fantasy was severely lacking in music prior to this update and I even had a friend who said he'd pay money to buy more Final Fantasy music separately. Luckily this pack greatly bolsters the series' previously lacking represented soundtrack. The new stage is light on gimmicks and hazards, as most DLC stages tended to be, but I find this completely acceptable when the backdrop is pure eye candy.

Inclusion: Fantastic pick in every regard. On top of having the best trailer out of any Smash character, he really drives home the "villain" theme that Ultimate had going for a little bit in the buildup to its release. He also helped give Final Fantasy more representation that it desperately needed for a while. If only they could do the same for Sonic...

Fighter: Looking back it's funny how they restrained characters like Ridley when they just went insane with how long Sephiroth's attacks are. Beyond the length of his sword, he has a good amount of unique tricks like his options for movement and the way that his various projectiles work. He's definitely one of my favorites to watch.

Stage: Northern Cave was an incredibly exciting inclusion for being the first 100% legal DLC stage in the game, which is a trend that continued with the very last one. It helps that it has an interesting platform layout and a visually interesting background without being too distracting like the Bayo one.

Music: I'm so happy this killed the "FF has two songs" meme. The choices from FF7 are really strong all around, and it helps that this was the only Square pack to get a good amount of full-on remixes which sound amazing. Aerith's theme especially is one of my favorite remixes of the bunch.

This is probably the peak of Ultimate's DLC.

Best DLC, argue with a fucking wall

I was really hoping for a different Final Fantasy character from a game other than 7 but Sephiroth is a really iconic villain and super hype so still really happy nonetheless.

really fucking good, he's really fun to play against and as, and his stage, music, and spirits are all really good too, only thing lacking here is alts

dude I wasn't hyped as much as other people for this character, but he's so fun to play its insane, banjos still my favorite dlc character, but this is close

The grape skittles attacks can go fuck itself from to the moon and back.

To put it lightly: this dlc was the reason why I became an FF7 fan that's obsessed with Sephiroth. Probably the best addition in the entire game together with Steve

Shit myself cause I thought it was Sora at first

sure, when it's the anime swordsman YOU like, then it's cool if they're in smash

i will never get over my beautiful son dying in front of my eyes, no matter how sick Sephiroth is

edit: nevermind :)
