Easy to Understand ★★★★★
- Since it was my first game before starting to study, I confess I've struggled a bit to understand some topics. Luckly, some texts uses a lot of hiragana and easy words. I bet a N5 is enough to understand all the game.

Gameplay ★★★☆☆
- The same classic rhythm game the series usually do. What really impressed me is the RPG mode which gives challenges in some matches and even beginners could understand what the next objective is.

Story ★★☆☆☆
- Despite not being the main focus of the game, the story is based in japanese culture and often uses funny dialogs.

im in a hurry to get to yokohama station.
can you tell me where yokohama station is, please?
thank you sir.

First taiko to be a rhythm RPG and the songlist has thriller and uchuu senkan yamato so like automatically based. It's still DS taiko which isn't really the optimal way to play, but the RPG mode more than makes up for meh control options. This pretty much is the pioneer game that later taikos like 3DS2 and 3DS3 follow.
