A very interesting game that I played many years ago but didn't remember finishing it, so that's what I did today.
A classic beat em up with a banger soundtrack, a simple story but with a bittersweet ending, very nice graphics and a great design of the 3 main characters, my favorite being Ninja.

I feel like I like this game more than I should like (because, to be honest, it's aesthetic is fucking badass) but also it's gameplay is actually very decent, the 3 characters adapt to different playing styles and their controls, although at the beginning they may look a little out of the ordinary, they are simple and work well.

So, my only problem with this game is its difficulty: don't get me wrong, it is not a very difficult game, in fact, it is very permissive with its checkpoints when using a continue (which are infinite) but that makes me feel that many times after going through a complicated section and losing a lot of hp, the game forces you to die to use a continue and continue advancing with full hp (something that would be solved simply by offering ways to replenish life more often) Also, i don't know why (and this is probably a skill issue) but sometimes it's really hard to grab an enemy even if you're right next to him, it's quite frustating, because you can get stunlocked very easily (specially on some bosses that rely on their subordinates, the boss of stage 7 it's a nuisance because of that)

Anyways, highly recommended for a casual play or for the fans of the genre.

Just some regular SNES Natsume kino. The remake on steam is great too.

One of my faves. Played originally in like 2000 and coming back to it now has been a delight. It’s twitchy but rewards thoughtful action. I can’t wait to play it again.

Neat beat em' up. Wish some of the attacks were shifted 3 of the unused buttons. The game is really great at forcing you into interfacing with all of its mechanics, but then the final boss says fuck all that and is super boring, which sucks. Art is very good and I love the overall aesthetic. It's 2 hours tops so definitely check it out!

Ahead of its time, like many other titles from Natsume.
It's one of my favorite games ever.

Except the bullshit is the Final Boss, the game is simple, short and very fun. It's worth a lot.

Com exceção da bosta que é o chefe final, o jogo é simples, curto e muito bom. Vale muito a pena.

This beat em up is incredible. You're given an incredibly strong suite of mechanics, including a parry, an aerial stomp, and a grapple, each working to ensure you always feel like the most powerful thing on Earth.

Until the ending. The final boss throws nearly every mechanic out and requires you to use the throw mechanic to hit a very specific point. It's unwieldy for direct aiming like you'd need, and so the final boss becomes a massive drain on the rest of the game.

That being said, it's still worth playing for a vibrant design sense, an invigorating soundtrack, and a beat em up system that rewards learning and persistence beyond most others released at the time. I truly recommend it, especially to genre obsessives.

Fun beat 'em up, cool robots, a little too hard by the end. Not much to say, but a worthwhile romp for those interested.

I reviewed The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors basically just by saying "It's The Ninja Warriors Again so you know it rips," so I'm here to say this is also The Ninja Warriors Again, and it still rips.

I played this game only because Rival Turf made me so mad I had to try a beat em up that had good praise and this did not disappoint. This game is so addicting and fun. I think it got a little too difficult by the end but overall it's easily worth a try. Also my favorite was Kamaitachi for anyone curious, though Ninja was also fantastic for some stages.
