best 2d platformer movemenmt of all time

This very good game unfortunately plays into My Big Phobia so I'll never be able to complete it, but everything about the premise and the gameplay is fantastic and I recommend this without reservation.

Really tight little action focused metroidvania. Probably the most satisfying combat I’ve seen in a 2d game like this, pulling off black flips and dodges by hitting the way makes me feel like a badass. The fast pace makes playing it a breeze and there’s lots to explore and find. I recommend going for the option boss before the final boss, gives a great dose of difficulty

A very simple and compelling little metroid-vania with tight controls and combat. It's got a charming and effective aesthetic, cute characters, and an impressively broad soundtrack of boppin' music that follows you front to back.

It's hard to find anything to complain about, I casually 100%'d this and had fun the entire time. The plus side of being a game with such a simple premise is that it's hard to say it didn't achieve all the goals it set out to reach. There's a lot of areas, plenty of enemy variety, great movement and combat options, extremely open and player driven progression, and a satisfying spattering of secrets.

If there's anything to nitpick it's just that a few of the enemies get a little stale by the end, (particularly wizards) but it makes it all the more satisfying when you get better weapons and smash them into pulp.

Anyhow this dev clearly has a sense of flair and really good design intuition, will keep an eye on this one.

Although it can get kinda repetitive in its gameplay there's always a new enemy to break it up enough and that combined with its interesting mechanics made it really enjoyable for me

Best game I played in a long time. Tight controls, fun setting, surprising amounts of content, and it doesn't overwelcome its stay.

Perfect Halloween game. Love this little rat and all his moves, great for speedrunning. Play it!!

got a little lost but the dev actually responded to my question on Twitter so I owe them nothing less. Game is adorable and fun

no flatwoods monster? come on nintendo

Really enjoyable. Loved the gameboy color aesthetic. Going for 100% can be a bit much, but I enjoyed the freedom that the game gives you. I actually missed the first major area of the game until I did the postgame, which speaks to its open-endedness and approachability. I strongly recommend buying this game and supporting its developer.
