A really fun wrestling/brawling game that should not cost as much second-hand as it does.
A fighting/wrestling game hybrid with a roster of rap artists. The game has some of the most brutally over the top violent moves which compliment the dark adult tone perfectly. It's a fun time against friends or solo in story mode where you take a character of your own creation through the ranks. The game has so much personality with so many memorable characters.

The fact that this game still has a competitive scene is a testament to how well this game holds up. This was an easy 5 star back then, but it was certainly limited in what it could do.

I think I have a new favourite, one of the most intense fighters I got into. The only thing I don't like is how bad the tutorial is, and there is no practice mode. Though you can take your created character on the Battle Mode. I just want a new game like this so I can beat up 6ix9ine and MGK.

They should remake this but instead of it solely being Def Jam make it like smash bros. Just like 100+ different rappers. And then you can put em against each other. Imagine an 8 person match of Kanye, MF DOOM, Common, Ghostface, Dre, Andre 3000, Tupac, and Kendrick.

really good wrestling game. the story mode has maybe a bit too much padding, but i still never got tired of the fighting mechanics. good story mode too. glad i finally played one of the def jam games.
