It's a rudimentary golf game, but the music is pretty good
you really gotta appreciate the mode-7 but not realy anything else under any meaningful circumstances

Never did I think I'd use a phrase as corny as 'cock-blocked' to describe a golf game, but when the game gives you that mode 7 fly-over of the course and the actual gameplay turns out to be a exclusively top-down w/ no other visual elements, i took psychic damage. You can't even put a fucking backspin on the ball, jfc
An okay golf game all in all -- the other reviews are right about the lackluster, top-down gameplay -- but my parents used to play this every. Saturday. night. for YEARS. I'll die hearing this music in my sleep.
This game is basically golf like any other, there's nothing impressive about it, the songs are ok, but nothing to listen to as if they were very good, its tournament mode is very disappointing because you don't have to deal with the CPU, you absolutely need it calling a friend to play against you, which is unacceptable and pointless (so much so that I dropped the game because of it), but at least the golf gameplay works differently than Kirby's Dream Course. But honestly, there are better and more complete golf games.
