What if I told you they found a way to make a perfect game even better? This is legitimately one of the best remakes of a game period. It doesn't change too much of course because Super Star is already incredible but it's just that little extra sprinkle to make it taste better. I love the updated sprites and the songs just sound ever so slightly better to me. With this you also get FOUR new campaigns, a dark homage to the original Kirby's Dream Land, a playable Meta Knight, a boss rush where you can play as all the helpers, and of course the True Arena. If you're a Kirby fan--hell, even if you aren't, this game is a MUST COP for the DS. I hope someday they can port this game to something.

As a newcomer, it's a pretty great introduction to many aspects of the series, I can see why people always say to start with this one.
I'd give it a 4, but I disliked how much bosses were reused across the subgames (which I hear is a trend throughout the whole series), and then Meta Knightmare Ultra is just short versions of all the Kirby campaigns but you can only use sword, the very few new abilities Meta has aren't much, they pretty much just serve to skip the annoying bosses (which you also repeat in this campaign) or to heal, which kinda makes the candies worthless, especially since the cave and milky way wishes levels replace all the treasures and abilities Kirby had with just candy and lives so you just kinda speedrun those big ass levels beacause the secrets aren't any good. Almost nothing is contextualized in that mode either, despite having cutscenes.
Meta just destroys his own ship for no reason and they didn't even put a Kirby boss there, Galacta Knight was cool I guess.
I also disliked how easy it is to take contact damage from doing a dash attack on bosses, maybe have the attack push them or something? Also why do I take contact damage from the sub-bosses after beating them??? I'm just trying to finish them off or swallow them and even then you can lose health!

Still, great game. I'll try to beat the first arena at least and then play the Dreamland games after some time, these games seem to be too similar to play all close to each other.

Zerei as 6 campanhas iniciais e duas das pos-game e bom... até agora o melhor kirby.
O jogo não é tudo isso que dizem, mas por agora, dos 5 kirbys que joguei no momento, é o melhor. Ele é ENORME mas não é arrastado, igual o Dream Land 2 e um pedaço do Adventure, por que o Super Star é divido em campanhas pequenas, o que é muito legal. Enfim, vou falar das 6 campanhas que zerei no momento, depois eu edito isso aqui e falo de todas, quando fazer o 100%.

1 - Spring Breeze: um mini remake de fases do dream land 1. Eu adorei, é uma ótima impressão inicial do jogo, e claro, eu já adoro o dream land 1, então rever umas fases dele refeitas com tanto carinho e esforço foi muito foda.

2 - Gourmet Race: meio chato e frustrante, não curti a ideia de ser uma corrida, mas pelo menos é bem marcante pela música.

3 - Dyna Blade: é uma campanha legal, mas é literalmente a menos memoravél do jogo, serio................ pelo menos ela é bem divertida.

4 - The Great Cave Offensive: maluco, esse ''metroidvania'' é uma das mais únicas. Explorar aquela grande mina procurando tesouros é uma das experiencias mais legais desse jogo, sinceramente um dos melhores main games.

5 - Revenge of Meta Knight: apesar de ser bem simples, é bem épica. Principalmente o final, quando termos nosso duelo com Meta Knight, um duelo bem parecido com o que acontece em Adventure. Gostei bastante.

6 - Milky Way Wishes: talvez o melhor maingame. Magnifico demais, cheio de fases memoraveis e divertidas, e claro, com um boss final épico digno de todo kirby até o momento.

7 - Revenge of the King: literalmente uma copia de level design de Spring Breeze, só que com cenarios e sprites novos. Apesar de eu preferir a aventura simples de SB, essa versão é bem mais épica no ato final. Temos 2 bosses novos, e o último é muito épico. Gostei, apesar de ser só uma reciclagem com coisas novas.

8 - Meta Knightmare Ultra: literalmente podemos enxerga que é rejogar o super star (as suas 5 campanhas principais) só que com o metaknight, e é muito foda, por que caralho é bom demais jogar com ele, é muito divertido, além de ser um bom jeito de rejogar o jogo mas com diferenças kek. Meu maior tempo nele foi uma hora no maximo.

Agora, as outras campanhas que aparecem POS-JOGO eu vou falar mais tarde. Quando zerar todas elas eu edito essa review e coloco a review de todas as que faltaram.

Enfim, é isso, não é um jogo supremo como muita gente diz, mas é o melhor jogo até o momento.
