Better than the one on Switch

who's the most evil and fucked up person in the mushroom kingdom? bowser? no. wario? no. waluigi? no.

blue mario

surprisingly good considering the age of this game.

I'm a main Toad/Peach

I have a weird memory of playing this game in the basement of an adult's house in the dark with a friend as other adults were down there drinking with one lamp lighting the room. I still don't remember the friend or any of the adults there but this is the best mario sports game ever.

minus one star for unleashing Waluigi upon the world

This is the product that made me love video games when I was like three

Fuck these games
Half star is for creating waluigi

Divertido para pasar un rato y con una amplia variedad de personajes a seleccionar.

ゴルフほどにははまりこまなかったんだけど、キャメロット社の良作ですよね。

Better than aces but thats not that hard

No lo jugué en su día, y a día de hoy en Switch se siente bastante divertido.
Pero le faltan opciones de juego y algunos tipos de golpes, pues no podemos hacer ni globos...

You know I feel like I could actually have a good time with this and it plays pretty decent for the time period but fuck me this shit doesn't play around you gotta be real good to win a full set

Pretty solid Tennis game, but it's not much beyond that. There are a few additional modes, but none give the game all that much more replay value than the basic Tennis gameplay. The tennis is very well executed and very fun, it's just very limited in replay value and variety. Growing up, it was not a multiplayer favorite for my family, so I mostly played it alone.

I'm incredibly nostalgic towards this game so I do have a major bias towards it, but this is still peak Mario Tennis for me. Motoi Sakuraba went off so hard with the soundtrack and I will always appreciate him for that.

I've been just casually playing this game before bed on NSO and it's fineeee. I beat all the cups, singles and doubles. I think that when you're back is facing the camera, you're opponent is braindead, but when theirs is facing the camera watch out cause Serena Williams just grabbed the controller and she's pissed.

This game was so much fun!
And it holds up pretty well even today.
The sounds effects of the racket slapping the ball are ASMR in its purest form. It also bring us Waluigi.
Is full of pleasures.

I've written about the Legacy vs. Quality debate before, but Mario Tennis wrinkles the conversation further.

Is this a solid tennis game? Yes.

Is it incredible? No.

Are other tennis games much better in terms of gameplay? Yes.

But DID THOSE GAMES GIVE US WALUIGI.

NO.

NO THEY DID NOT.

In my heart, I want to give this a 5. But really, I just want to give Waluigi every perfect score imaginable.

Mario Tennis was a ton of fun when it first released (and was my most-rented game from Blockbuster), but nothing special now. Waluigi, on the other hand, is forever great.

I know people have made Waluigi hype into a meme, but I've legitimately mained him in every game he's appeared in since 2000. Wah for life.

It’s a video game about tennis featuring the first appearance of Waluigi.

What more could you want?

Great multiplayer fun with some alright single player gameplay too.
