yeah im a sucker for melee combat in video games and this one does it STUPIDLY well plus updates plus the skilled community is really cool and this is one of the most rewarding games to get good at

Lots of potential, but the fight system being designed to be as janky as possible in order to express skill makes it feel counterintuitive and makes combat tiresome. Joining a match can be a pain, but the voice lines and physics make up for some of the shortcomings of the game's systems

i tried to get good at this game for like a month straight and i was like on edge and shit the entire time because the game is like chivalry if it ran bad and had a mid ass character creator

One of the only games I'm Good at. Various updates and re-balances killed my enthusiasm for it though, despite still being objectively better than Chiv in every way.
The superior Chivalry in pretty much every way. Just play this game instead of that and you'll have a much better time.
Superior to Chivalry - this is the first person melee game. Great community once you ignore the racist tendencies.
It's fun if you don't take the game seriously, There is a very large toxic and racist part of the community however there are just as many kind and outgoing patrons of game. If you get this game understand there is large learning curve and remember to purchase the big double sided axe from the equipment section of the mercenary creation menu. Apart from that just quit playing for the rest of the day if you get annoyed at the game.

I was hoping being very familiar with Mount&Blade would make it easy to get into this since the system is very similar, but the little differences just made it way more difficult.
It's a great medieval game but still didn't have that much fun playing.
Skill ceiling fun battles and memes
A fun medieval combat game! All the weapons feel great to use. Super fun to play with friends but gets stale after a while

Mordhau is a very fun and sometimes frustrating game. The skill ceiling is high, and veteran players will rarely if ever hold back on you. However, if you hang in there you'll eventually be able to have loads of fun.
There's also Horde mode if you don't feel like fighting against Human opponents. In this game mode you fight off waves of AI enemies alone or with some strangers/friends.
The community ranges from trash heap (probably the majority) to pretty chill and sweet, so don't be afraid to use the mute function on toxic players.
