It was really fun to have a direct sequel game! Retained all of what made B1 fantastic while introducing enough to feel fresh.

While not as good as other Pokémon games, it was the last great Pokémon game, along with it's companion. It's updates that where made to the original black, were welcome and fun to see.

Worse story than B1
Probably objectively the best pokemon game but I think adding non-unova pokemon into the regional dex was a bad decision. It was a good sequel and I had lots of fun with gen 5 as a whole.
Pokemon did something new and different in making a sequel instead of a third version, and honestly I wish they did that more often throughout the series' history instead of giving you the same game but with a few differences that might make the plot worse instead of better. Looking at you, Ultra Sun and Moon. You know what you did.
Anyway, the plot of this game isn't as good as the first, but it's still fun. I liked the new characters a whole lot, with Colress being a big stand out, and it was really interesting to see how the events of the first game impacted the world.
The new content was super good, too. The variety route to route was great and meant you could go through the game with some pretty cool teams. Pokestar Studios was a significantly better side mode than musicals, which were kind of nothing. The postgame was also kind of massive, and I'm not sure if I ever managed to do everything the game had to offer. Sometimes you're just... done.... I guess...

Got Black 2 'cos I thought I would get Reshiram. Did not get Reshiram. Still a great game though.

I used this game's team plasma theme as a ringtone for 2-3 years and what made me change eventually was that a kid asked me if I played Fortnite, because I had the "Ali-A youtube intro on my phone".
It's the same as Black and White 1 except with a different story and some new content so it deserves the same rating. Great main game and postgame with a decent plot.
i dont really like it
always have fucking loved gen 5, especially b2w2. while the campaign's story is no where near as good, seeing how the world changed throughout the story makes up for it. fantastic all around, by far my favorite pokemon game.
