This is a combination real-time tower defense game and deckbuilding game. You use cards to earn money and pay for buildings and critters, which then defend against the waves of monsters that approach from either left or right. 6 different rat clans that all have different and neat approaches. I enjoyed this game but I am not good enough at the real-time aspect and it ends up making me nervous. They smartly slow time when you zoom in on a card, but it's not enough. Watching high level play I notice constant pausing and unpausing, which would drive me nuts. So...neat approach, lots of fun touches in the game that draw you in, but ultimately not for me.
Absolute guilty pleasure game and would absolutely recommend it if you love cute rat aesthetics, base building and defense and Slay the Spire style rogueliking. Wish it had just a bit more breadth in its strategies but even so, I'm probably gonna inevitably binge it every year at some point without fail
I love it. I'm not a hardcore min-max deckbuilding game player but the mixture of elements of deckbuilding, roguelite elements, city building is hectic but very fun. It does get a little difficult and could use some difficulty scaling(beyond just making it harder from its basic form to a more challenging one). It's also very cute.
