Amzing 3rd persons looter shooter. Highly moddable and replayable

Endlessly replayable. The most fun roguelike I have played with the only knock being the occasional bullshit death that kills a run and feels unavoidable.

I was a little worried about this, as a fan of the first game. What a departure in terms of form factor. Admittedly I've only unlocked a couple characters and played a handful of hours with a friend, but I really like it, and I think it's a fitting sequel to the first, despite the complete overhaul of how it's played.

Despite being a game that seems like it would be bloated with content there's actually very little to do after unlocking the characters aside from watching numbers go up which is fine but i'd rather play a JRPG to scratch that itch

Honestly kino, but fuck the Wandering Vagrant

Captain is the best character imo (If you disagree with me that is cringe)

It can be a good, chill multiplayer game that you don't have to think too hard about. Throw a stream on in the bg and you got some good vibes going for sure. Or, you can make it stupidly hard and crank up the difficulty with some setting changes. It's up to what you want, and I appreciate that.

There's a bit of lore that I myself haven't looked into much but some might enjoy. Overall, it's a solid game. I think its a 3.5/5 or a 4/5 alone but the very fun times I've had with friends make me rate it up for that.

I initially thought it would be impossible to make a 3d version of risk of rain but here we are! Runs take a little longer than I'd like (spelunky honestly is the perfect length for me). That being said, with the inclusion of online multiplayer this time around, this is the best way to experience risk of rain.

I play this with friends and I like talking to my friends.

Honestly suprised I didn't like this. I dunno I just got bored.

Really good fun with friends, the devs need to fix a few bugs and glitches but otherwise fantastic job.

Good podcast game and shes beautiful but extraordinarily shallow

pretty fun! really just like the same thing as the first but more and better. kind of a trend for game sequels.

This game is an enigma. the moment i hit 170 hours on ror2, it feels like this beautiful, expertly crafted game turned into a steaming pile of miserable balance and one shot KOs. That being said, im pretty sure this game singlehandedly lowered my gpa first semester of college.

5 stars don't play multiplayer

Excellent game, love it more than the first. Even more fun with friends.

Such a nice little game. Massive recommendation for fans of rogue-likes.

really cool when you have your super cool run ended by an elder lumerian from across the map

my favorite game to just, play, by far, and my most played game (except probably toontown online). i often just start doing a long run of this game just because the gameplay is so satisfying and great. i've collected every achievement at this point. i mute all the sounds and just listen to music and unwind, letting my brain sort of go and just having fun. it is incredibly fun with friends too. i can always find myself getting back into it. this game is so playable and great, it is beautiful with wonderful music and is incredibly satisfying. i really am so happy with all of the entertainment and satisfaction I have gotten from this game.

Wasn't much fun playing solo. I'm sure it's a blast with friends.

balancing is all over the place but still pretty fun

Not quite as good solo as the first imo, but an amazing group co-op experience. Very fun, good build variety, fun character diversity

Great game to play with friends and a good time waster. I wish there was a bit more characters tho.

I just really can't get into it. I think it generates really boring and mostly flat levels and most of the loot feels dull as well. Opening a container just never feels exciting for me. These were already problems that made the first game feel boring after a while, so this isn't at all the sequel that I wanted.

Fun and repetitive roguelite third person shooter, yet great replay value. Great co-op game. Different characters offer variety in gameplay. Good amount of secrets to unlock. Great music.

Everything feels great about the game even if it's far from being finished. While it is past a 1.0 update there's still a ton of other things the devs have planned for the game in the near future. Admittedly there are some characters that genuinely feel sluggish to play, but the ones that don't feel that way feel so good. The gameplay peaks once you unlock loader and her unlockable gauntlet and hook abilities. It's a nice game to try and unlock everything, because unlocking more items is almost always exclusively more fun than not, but you can also use the game to just kind of chill and autopilot while you listen to something in the background like a podcast, livestream, or whatever it may be.
