Physics get wayyyyy too out of control in this one, building your own brand is not that fun when the only art you can do on your deck is super basic logo shit, best competitions in the whole series.

Me and my best friend at the time would play this for hours on end if the weather was too bad for us to skate (or we were too high to attempt to skate). This was quite a few of my teenage summers. What I wouldn't do to go back.

This was a considerable upgrade from skate 2 game, but still left me a little unamused. Skate 2 was open world game, and skate 3 is a open world game but divided in 3 sections smaller than skate 2 (but combined they are larger). The problem with this is that if I just want to go from one place to another I have to go to the map and teleport myself there. This was such a turn off for me. Storyline-wise I enjoyed more Skate 2. Skate 3 story was just so meh. Not that skate 2 is mindblowing, it's also meh but it was better than skate 3. Idk. Gameplay-wise Skate 3 is much better. That's the positive point in skate 3 I guess.

Theres a lot of fun to be had in just breaking your bones over and over. Rest of the game can't even compare.

Gameplay wise it's really good, there's a lot of QOL improvements compared to the other games but unlike Skate 1 the story is so barebones it just feels like you're going from challenge to challenge without any real development, not that it matters though, but it could've been nice to have something more interesting

You trade that fast ridiculous gameplay for more freedom and a more realistic experience. The way they let you tackle goals in whatever part of the open world you want to embodies the essence of street skating in a super cool way.
