The story mode style of gameplay is...interesting and kinda janky, but it's not bad by any means. It's a pretty fun time.

Alright as a way to practice Tekken solo fundamentals solo. Story mode was alright but way too short.

Ganhei de um amigo e gostei, e agora?

Ehhhh this is sadly one of the weaker Tekken games tbh

Fighting games just seem to get less and less popular these days with just the big guys coming out with new sequels every year, and Tekken is no exception. Probably the second most popular Japanese fighter (under Street Fighter) Tekken has some of the most memorable characters, and it caters to button mashers and combo memories. One thing that Tekken is famous for is how gorgeous it looks. Tekken 6 may not have the glitz that the PS3 versions do, but it is one of the best looking PSP games made this year.

If you don’t know the story behind Tekken I can’t really tell you since there are dozens of them. Everyone enters the Iron Fist Tournament to stop someone with a hand drawn the beginning story and your typical pre-rendered ending movie. Fighting games aren’t really famous for their stories (with Mortal Kombat probably having the most in-depth story of any fighter), so don’t come into this as a newbie and expecting something spectacular. The story is just something to keep you playing the story mode and nothing more or less.

There are a lot of characters in Tekken 6 and if I’m correct they pulled a Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and including every Tekken character ever made. This should keep you real buys unlocking all their stories and gold to upgrade the characters. It takes awhile to get enough gold to buy anything, but once you do you get some pretty neat stuff.

Each fight consists of four battles for each character and they vary depending on their story. The main boss, Azazel, is a real bitch to beat since he is so big, and the game is so damn hard. I mean REALLY hard. I was on the easiest setting and still had my butt handed to me. I don’t suck either the game is just based on pure luck more than skill thanks to the ability to button mash so much.

When you’re actually fighting the controls are very tight and responsive. You block by backing away, you have high punches, low punches, high and low kicks, and grabs. It’s your bare bones setup, but it works well on the PSP and feels natural and smooth. If the difficulty wasn’t so painstakingly difficult I would be more forgiving for the game overall, but the hair-tearing difficulty drops points on this one.

Tekken is really just an arcadey eye candy fest and bare-bones combat. The whole setup is great and it’s simple so fans and newcomers will rejoice for how well the game is executed. All I wish are for more modes, and online multiplayer and it would be perfect.

A parte arcade e jogar com os amigos é bem legal. A gameplay é daora. Mas o modo campanha é um lixo, chato para caramba e com uma gameplay enjoativa

Just another day in a world full of Mishimas

This game gets good from the getgo, don't know what delch below is talking about. The Scenario Campaign is an ultimate revamp of the Tekken Force mode integrated into Tekken 3 & 4 which is what a lot of people loved about those games and expanded upon.

This is my favorite Tekken game, but two caveats to this high score:
- I skipped straight from Tekken 3 to 6, and this is a series that is based on gradual evolution. So it's possible that some of the credit for what I like in this game goes to Tekken 4 and 5.
- It's hard to judge fighting games completely subjectively because of the multiplayer element; if I had played a different fighting game with my college buddies, there's every chance I would sing that game's praises instead.

Still, there is so much that is objectively good about this game that I don't think my rating is just nostalgia. It follows the same control conventions established in the first Tekken (two punch buttons, two kick buttons) but every character handles extremely differently, with their own movesets, combos, and stances, giving the game a good amount of depth.

Learning to use different characters can thus be very rewarding. Although it can take some time to 'git gud', the game makes it as easy as possible with a great training mode with extensive movelists, sample combos, and even a mode where you can practice defending against the staple combos of other characters!

I also like that this game harkens back to a time when you could customize your fighters with different cosmetic changes, but instead of being paid DLC you could just unlock them by playing a lot. So I played a lot. I played a lot so that I could make Armor King look like a giant stuffed tiger and yell out my attacks as I did them anime-style but adding "of cuteness" at the end ("elbow drop of cuteness!" "suplex of cuteness!") to troll my friends. It was utterly Skinnerian, grinding for the dopamine rush of unlocking stuff. But the gameplay was so fun and deep that the process of grinding was rewarding in itself. One of my favorite fighters ever.

8/10

odiaba este juego hasta que mi primo me enseño el combo infinito de devil jin con 8 años desde entonces me encanta

This was quite disappointing after years hyping myself on Tekken 5 but I still appreciate the effort they put into the Scenario Campaign. I hated how you had to play through it just to unlock the arcade story mode for each character.
Had Playstation Home integration so is responsible for the only reason I ever booted it up beyond the day I first got the PS3.
Alisa Bosconovitch was my first waifu so this game is partly to blame for my place in society.

goated

Ah, é porrada, né...
