We love our problematic war criminal grandpa.

Individual review for the original game is available on my profile. This is a review of this specific DLC.

The pros first. Zaeed himself rocks - what a fun character! Beyond Robin Sachs' great voice work, he himself is a ton of fun to have around, from the crazy merc stories he likes to tell to his no nonsense attitude that actually plays true to ME2's ideas of rogues, anti-heroes, and criminals saving the day. The guy is a bastard! And that's what makes him kind of great.

His actual mission is a bit weak though. It's got a really great hook and I like the moral compromises you might be forced to make in order to actually keep him in the group but it's a short mission (much shorter then most loyalty missions) and I wish he more interactions with the actual cast. Despite that, he's a beast in gameplay so getting him is worth it for that alone. Zaeed forever.

Zaeed himself is interesting at times, but this DLC feels so barren of engaging content that he just feels like filler in a way even Kasumi doesn't.
