The ball just does not ball in this version.

it’s pinball! you’ve got four flippers, a handful of balls, and plenty of fun objects to careen them into with some skillful flipper timing. game a and game b are both good options, with b having faster ball movement for the experienced pinballer. i find the layout of the table to be really cool, especially with the lower half’s hatchable chicken eggs and flippable cards, providing temporary out-lane springs and an indestructible stopper for the middle drain hole respectively. the upper half has no defensive options, but there’s many great point opportunities still. also, it would be a crime not to mention the bonus screen in which you move mario left and right to save an infinite number of paulines—a lovely change of pace for sure. i played this game for five hours today and i’m not ashamed to admit it. the physics may not be a perfect simulation of reality, but getting used to them doesn’t take much time, and then it’s just a simple yet addictive pinball experience. my mother and sister enjoy it too, so it really is fun for the whole family as they say! i must admit the flippers turning invisible at 100k points is odd, but it’s not impossible to manage, and they come back at 150k. i personally saved pauline and got over 150k points in both game a and b. it was very tough but satisfying in the end. try this game out for sure!
