Mastered the hold! Until Entry Point drops (c'mooon we're starvin' here), this is definitely the best starting point for DROD.

We'll just say our general thoughts on DROD as a whole here: It's such a delightfully strange game. We adore its specific puzzle design philosophies (even if sometimes we feel way too smallbrained for it OOPS), and we especially adore the music and, gosh, the worldbuilding. Seriously, we could get lost hearing about the Eighth and all the wacky stuff in it. Erik, if you're reading this, if you ever made a Novel set in the DROD universe (a DROvel), realize we might be your only customers... but GOD would we be down for that.

Anyways, maybe it's a little bit of a self-own, maybe it's because it was our first hold, but GatEB is our favorite. This is such a fun way to do both an entry point for the series and also do a "prequel", by showcasing Beethro's grandpappy Gunthro instead. It's a nice change of pace, and a very fun framing device! It's nowhere near as hard as the rest of the DRODs, but it IS still a DROD--don't go in blindly, or you're gonna have a bad time.

One day, we wanna replay this, but the problem is we're worried we'll remember too many of the puzzle solutions...
