Everything about this game is vastly inferior to the original. Force dialogue that sucks ass, terrible rpg mechanics, NO ZOMBIES like at all. The best part about the game was tormenting NPCs with my friends and the hilarious glitches. only giving this 3 stars cuz funmy glitches

Honestly. you expect more from the game, but in the end everything slips where it should be interesting, the wow effect disappears after an hour of play, a billion bugs and nauseating combat.

Very disappointed with this one...

Coming from the first game, which was incredible and innovative, this one was a let down in every way.

Pretty much everything was a downgrade. Parkour was floaty, combat was boring, the world felt like an arcade rather than a zombie apocalypse. The story was okay at best, and the last mission might be the worst mission I've every played lol.

Story sucks but the gameplay makes up for it

Dying Light 2 is a wild ride. The parkour feels incredible, the world is huge, and the story...well, it's there. Some of the best moments are just exploring the city at night, the infected are actually scary, and the combat is brutal It's got some glitches, the skill tree is a bit messy, and sometimes choices don't feel like they matter that much, but if you loved the first Dying Light, you'll still have a blast with this one.

Dying Light 2 is just... painfully mid.
Maybe it's me just being unhappy at the moment but the gameplay just isn't that fun until after you finish the story (which sucks btw). The characters and story are still painfully bad, and there's no amount of updates that can fix that. The store is frankly really stupid and the new(ish) bounties and mission systems are super grindy and tedious. They finally added guns! Hooray, right? Unfortunately not. All the guns besides the basic pistol are locked behind incredibly grindy bounty missions and it might have been the absolute worst way to implement them. It's also still super buggy (on PS4, at least). All I can say is that the graphics look a lot better and the Tolga & Fatin mission is kinda cool.

Overall, really fucking disappointing.

Ok so, at the time of this writing, the game is still a technical mess. Lots of random bugs and annoyances pretty much everywhere, but, I'm still going to recommend it.

If you played the original Dying Light, it feels pretty much the same, but with enhanced gameplay mechanics. All of the new mechanics are really fun and fairly intuitive to use. Paragliding in particular is awesome, and with the right upgrades, you can basically fly semi-permanently. This game is also a really fun coop experience.

Also similar to the original, the story pretty much plays out like most action movies. It's predictable and most of the choices kinda don't matter until the very end. Like I mentioned earlier, the game is a technical mess, from random little annoyances to getting locked out of certain collectibles. It also ran relatively poorly, even on my 3700X and RTX 3080.

Ultimately, it's enjoyable if you don't play for the story and are okay with bugs and lower graphics for higher performance.

i cant ever get into it + it somehow pales in comparison to 1 so... yea i gave up on it
very, very dissapointing

It was a good game man...although it had many flaws and bugs, I liked it overall.
I wish I knew only to go after the main quest and a couple of side ones though and not waste so much time on it lol
It got repetitive at points, long, impossible at some challenges and the parkour is so complex that it gets very buggy and tricky, it's not as fun as the first one.
In terms of the story, it was good, maybe a bit rushed, I wish they focused more on the actual script than the choices consequences and shit, saying this although I got the good ending but man I had to roll back like 4 hours of gameplay cause I thought I accidentally killed Hakon
If you wanna play it do it, but don't focus too much on every side quest, the DLC is worth it in my opinon, a fun distraction.

DL2 is an interesting one, it started off quite weak due to it's launch having various bugs and performance issues that tanked a large majority of people's enjoyment of the game however, similar to Cyberpunk once those bugs were cleared up what was left was a very phenomenal game. Of course I won't say DL2 is nearly as good as Cyberpunk's story or combat but it was certainly a special game, the VNC tower in specific was an amazing mission & the peak of the parkour/story combo that with the solid replay potential and the game ends up being quite nice

Played it in 2024. Used the internet to get rid of the RPG shit in the settings and make it look the closest to the first game as possible. Had the time of my life. In different settings I understand if some people liked it less

There's not much to say about this one except that it's very generic and quite boring.
