I can't stop myself playing it, despite the increasingly greedy monetization of the game, so I beg anyone reading this, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME.

The unhealthy addiction I used to have with this game is actually shameful in hindsight. As far as card games go, this game is amazing. It simple, but, if you know its secrets, it has an insane level of creativity and depth to it that it will have you itching for more. The downside here is that “itch” costs money and if you take a moment and look at the amount of expansions since this game’s inception, you will see that having all the best cards is a Herculean task. You can argue that you only need the most recent seasonal cards to play standard, but it’s just a matter of time before those rotate out and you are forced to spend more money on the next set. If you ever plan on breaking that spending cycle then you will have to play wild(the mode where you can play with ALL cards) but the problem is the balancing of wild. It’s chaos. So long story short, it’s a money investment that doesn’t feel worth it at the end of the road. Trust me, I hit legend, and the game was never the same again. Nowadays I just get on to win some free packs from battlegrounds and then uninstall it for several months before remembering it still exists and repeating this cycle. Still, this game has a bunch of nostalgia and good memories tied to it. Based

It was pretty decent until the game blatantly threw me against whales.
Just because you threw me newbies the first few matches doesn't mean I'm not gonna notice the immediate switch after, Blizzard.

Been playing since Naxxramas, never really taking a break for more than a month. Kind of scared to know how many hours I've sunk into this, but also interested, alas. Used to play arena for years, then focused on low-rank ladder using only decks with 40 legendaries. Nowadays I play mostly Battlegrounds, with the occassional arena run, 35-legendary wild game, or Whizbang standard match. Since I never tried to compete heavily, I never felt any pressure to pay for anything, and hopefully never will.

I think I'll just stick to inscryption

Oh I definitely hate card games

So the bastards roped me back in with hundreds of free packs, an expansion featuring the return of some of my favourite characters and I managed to make the push to legend. I'm older now, the player base is more mature, metagaming is solved quicker, easier and more definitively thanks to sites like vicious syndicate. The end-result? This isn't what I was playing when I was booting up the game everyday to complete my dailies when I was 14. This isn't the game that me and my friends would play when we would mirror match up Legendary Priest. This isn't even naxxramas.

foi um dos meus cardgames preferidos

no, that's it really.

nothing like playing it in highschool on the manditory Ipads

é o melhor jogo de carta que tem, mas é pay-to-win na mesma dose.

Played off and on for maybe about a year after release, started to lose interest after they started adding paid expansions. I think I was genuinely having a good time, but after a while I could only really play arena and be able to be competitive without buying anything. The voice lines for all the cards were amusing, the goblin cards were my favorite. At least I got some fun out of it at the time.

I like the deep strategy

O melhor jogo de cartas que já joguei, seria perfeito se o jogo não se transformasse em uma "plataforma de minigames" e um cassino de preços tão caros

Hearthstone is ultimately the best card game on the market in my opinion and due to that Blizzard is able to do some pretty awful stuff with the insane amount of money as an entry point to make decks. The game has only gotten better in regards to this though, and it's finally in a spot where I can recommend it to F2P players.
