Fantastic stepping stone to Baldurs Gate 3. The story is very entertaining and the world they built is immersive. Game can be a little broken on higher difficulties (scaling gets a little silly in the late game) but a fun time solo or with friends. Soundtrack is a banger as well.

Co-op with my best friend, what a ride.

This game is so good that despite almost tearing my hair out several times, I consider it absolutely phenomenal (aside from the occasional ridiculous spike in difficulty).

I'm not a fan of the combat and armor system for this sequel, and lost interest in the story and characters by the time I left the 1st island. A shame, I liked the 1st game a lot.

I think beyond the combat is that for me the most important aspect of an RPG is story and characters, and Divinity 2 just didn't hook me at all.

Such fun times!
Playing this for weeks 12h every day with my best friend while my family fell apart and left me. That's what I call immersion.

Larian knocked it out of the park with this one and made a fan for life. I'm hard pressed to decide whether I like this game or BG3 better. The combat system here is amazing and I hope Larian revisits it in a future game.

Really captures the magic of a tabletop RPG game, right down to the main villain being the catholic church.
