Better than people give it credit for.
The comparisons to CVS2 are inevitable but it's an interesting take on the idea.

It does play super stiff and the sound design is pretty awful. But if it had a bit more time to develop it would've been something really special.

All the stages are just miserable ruins and the tone is oddly dour for a crossover game, perhaps it's all alluding to the ruin of SNK and the end of the arcade age but it also feels cheap to play and poorly presented, with weird sound design, odd feeling inputs and sloppy character art, so it's truly a pathetic experience overall.
