a good atlus game? What the fart?

antigo, meeeeioo datado mas continua uma masterpeça, trilha sonora do caralho, perceptivel que teve um orçamento alto pro padrão da atlus na epoca, e principalmente uma narrativa muito interessante

Nothing but praise, I love smt 3 nocturne and love this game. I have finished it 4 times the concepts/style are all phenomenal while it develops characters who are endearing and entertaining to be around. The aesthetic is close to being my favorite from this era as it comes from the same style and engine of smt 3 and you even get to fight the demifiend which started one of my fav trends so go play it

Fun, has a good ability learning system called mantras that let you swap out and use different skills whenever you want

Really good music as usual

I have to wait to judge the story because obviously this is a 2 part game, but so far it's pretty good and I have no complaints

Just a very cool game overall

Beat all superbosses (except Demi-Fiend, not doin that shit!)

Oh but fuck this game's encounter rate it's really bad

A lot of the Smt fanbase overhypes this game just to my surprise it ended up to be a great concept but with mediocre battle system, horrible levels, awful random encounters and some of the worst story beats in any game.

a more player-friendly nocturne if you want to think of it in that way in both gameplay and story a more accessible game even if hmmmm it has some quirks and odd characterizations and this first part does leave a lot to be desired in terms of a satisfactory plot but ofc this basically a part 1 of a game so we will see how that develops going forward.
gameplay wise you are stuck to 5 characters at most so it does make it have a lot less going on progression wise you really just upgrade these characters like a regular RPG no pokeman elements here and that's fine but not my favorite side of smt it does have its upsides though with enough grinding any of these characters can cast any attack/magic you want really ofc you still have to play to the strengths of their stats and type advantages though since you can only choose stat upgrades on level up for the main character which is again normal for the genre
overall a solid jrpg with potential will have to see how the sequels shapes it up though

It doesn't need to be its own game, and if it transitioned seamlessly into DDS2 it would work better. A victim of the duology's weird structure. Great atmosphere, music, and some decent setup, but it all feels empty without the foreknowledge of the sequel.

When the intro to your favourite record is still a banger.

oh yeah this game was good from what i remember of it. this is based on two playthroughs;

gameplay? gave serph a full strength build, clicked power charge phys skill, laughed at the encounters
went into the final boss, clicked power charge phys all, laughed
went into the superboss, clicked power charge ragnarok, laughed (i didn't actually it was really difficult)

story? yeah it's okay. to not go into too much detail it's simple and that's fine, but this gets fleshed out a lot better in the second game

weirdly enough the extra goodies are very out of the way, i don't typically backtrack too often so i missed out on a lot of things first time through, second time i had to look up a guide for the stuff just so i could say i did it... oops?

Really good game with an interesting story and the usual fun gameplay from SMT, but man is it a hell of a grind. Game got soul though.

11/10, top tier megaten game, better than nocturne imo

Persona 6 could have only gay options with it's own harem route and probably wouldn't be half as gay as whatever Argilla and Jinana had going on
