One of my favourite games as a child, and my favourite out of all the lego games. This game was the first to make me fall in love with Batman and the amazing cast of villians in Gotham City.

this is the best game of all time

Heading to the world of the Dark Knight... but Lego version! The first installment, so the game is a bit old.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is very classic for a Lego game. In fact, it's one of the first. No open world (that appears in later games), but we have the Batcave and Arkham Asylum as hubs. In total, there are 3 chapters to play as both heroes and villains (so 30 levels!). You solve small puzzles and face bosses. There aren't many characters, but the essentials from the comics are there!

Graphics and Art Design:
2008, it wasn't crazy either. I used a Reshade myself to make the game look better; otherwise, it will feel quite dated. However, the music is spot-on, composed by Danny Elfman!

Achievements and Other Aspects:
Negative point: there are no achievements. Something I don't understand from Steam. The Xbox achievements exist for a 2008 game, and honestly, there are plenty of things to do. Especially for a Lego game, like collecting minikits, unlocking all characters, etc. The lack of a story also bothers me a bit, but that's because I'm too used to more recent games, so it's a very personal opinion.

I still loved this Lego game. A nice little nostalgic trip to enjoy simply.

My final score: 15/20
Recommendation: Yes, if you want the complete collection of Lego games and if you're feeling nostalgic.
