I really have to make an & Knuckles joke, don't I?

This game’s good and all but if you fucking pick Ness I will break your switch with a sledgehammer.

Today marks it. The day that 5 years ago, Persona 5 was released in Japan. It was initially my second favourite game of all time until I played Persona 4 Golden. But anyway, thanks Persona 5 for existing. Playing Royal right now in Futaba’s palace, loving it.

Sure it may not have the best character roster and the lack of a VS mode fucking sucks, but what warrants the 8/10 here is the track selection. This version of Rainbow Road is the series' best yet. As someone who considers Wii Sports Resort to be the best game in the Wii series, it was very cool seeing Wuhu Island in this game. Also it has Coconut Mall.

Possibly one of the most challenging Mario games, but not Lost Levels type hard where all the levels were just made by people you see on Mario Maker every day. More of a "if you die it's your fault" type hard.

And I like that.

Also it introduced Bowser Jr.

I don’t know why, but I decided to replay this game. Maybe it was to see if I should sell my copy of this game for Fire Emblem Three Houses. This game doesn’t know whether it wants to be lighthearted or have a dark tone. For example, the scene where Sonic “dies” is dark, but even after, he continues to make jokes. Which reminds me, if you’re going to spend the first few minutes trying to make me believe that Sonic is dead, don’t tell me right after that he’s actually alive. The level design is a straight line throughout all 30 levels. Each level can be beaten in 2 minutes. I was so disinterested with the story that I kept skipping cutscenes. If you’re going to shove 2D sections into Sonic and the OC’s stages, may as well not include Classic Sonic.

But I do have some positives, like the soundtrack actually being pretty decent, or how the graphics are actually pretty good. But that does not save this piece of crap game.

Still excited to play Mania.

First Impressions (didn’t pay for it my brother is a fan of this series so him buying it was an inevitablity)

Meh.

Literally nothing special. Nothing to it. Story’s meh, gameplay is nothing special, but reload animations are solid.

Also wtf the sound design on PS5 is so bad, there was literally no audio from characters for the first few cutscenes and the slide audio sounds compressed

why do I have such a bad fucking habit of dropping sonic games except for forces which is a 2/10 game

HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES WILL MY BROWSER ON MOBILE REFRESH AND LEAD TO ME LOSING ALL PROGRESS ON MY REVIEWS:

In short (because I need to write a review and will change when I finish my review): Takes OG P5 and makes it better. While not as good as P4G, has the best combat in the series and all the new shit they added makes the game better.

Great gameplay, but fuck man that story is appaling.

I bought Violet but just wanted to share a funny story.

Back in around 2015-2017 my dad had this idea of a Pokemon game called Pokemon Scarlet with hyper realistic gore and pokemon getting decapitated and dying, etc etc and it was really funny.

Fast forward to buying the game on the 22nd, I had completely forgotten about it, then when I arrived home my dad reminded me about it.

As for the game itself, framerate aside it’s actually really good so far. Best mainline series game since Gen 5 quite possibly. I honestly haven’t encountered too many bugs so far, maybe I’m just really lucky though

how do i recover from the effects of playing a match of this shit can anyone help

EDIT: adding an extra half star because of how they roasted PETA

Min Min: Hot take, but ARMS needed some representation in Smash. Nintendo was trying something new, and it worked fairly well. The arm mechanic is also solid. 7/10.

Steve: Minecraft in Smash, need I say more? The reverse Byleth, where they're a great addition but I only wish the character was fun to play. 8/10.

Sephiroth: For the longest time I had him as my main, Final Fantasy needed more representation, so yeah, kino. 10/10.

Pythra: Never played a Xenoblade game but this is a pretty cool addition, only wish they weren't so fucking op. 8/10.

Kazuya: Tekken needed a Smash rep, and this is a great choice. His moveset is big and he feels good to play. 8/10.

Sora: A character I doubted for a long time. When that Mickey Mouse keychain and that key showed up, I freaked the fuck out. But yeah, character is fun as hell to play and has a great stage. 10/10.
