Capcom has masterfully achieved the task of taking one of the best games of all time and updating it in a way that feels relevant while keeping the same exciting feeling. For veterans, it will never replace the sheer impact and thrill of that original game, but this new take is so well made that it easily stands side-by-side with the original.

Ada's gameplay feels a little bit weaker than Leon's and there's too much of backtracking to previously visited areas and fights against enemies we've fought a thousand times by now. But what's new there is great and the story expands nicely to give us new perspective on Ada and Luis, which is always welcomed.
