I still remember watching the E3 trailer when it released and I carried that excitement all the way to the end of the game. One of the best experiences of my life and a story that fundamentally understands and portrays the character of Spider-Man so well. A satisfying combat system and a cast of likeable characters really makes such a brilliant game.

I really tried to enjoy this game but I can't. The gameplay itself seems fine, if not a little lacklustre every so often, but the story was so dull and by the end I had to drag myself through completing it. I'm sure fans of Harry Potter would rate it higher than I have, but as I'm not a fan of the setting I can't. It doesn't do it for me.

I've enjoyed this game a lot more than I ever thought I would, and even returned for a second playthrough since launch. I think it helps that I'm not really a fan of the setting, so I've come into it expecting very little. The gameplay is fun, the story is fulfilling enough and the nemesis system in particular is what makes this game for me.
