This might be the best remake I have ever played. As a kid I always tried to play the original but could never get past the Regenerator sections out of pure fear. As a grown man I made it my mission to beat them. Aside from that, shooting feels amazing, Ashley is more of a character than an objective for Leon. The game loses a bit of it's original tone, some of the goofiness is absent but that's a result of this game staying consistent with the remakes before it. RE:4 originally was supposed to be the first Devil May Cry game so it makes sense why the goofiness was present in the first place. While I like it, it would have been out of place here.
There isn't a single thing that I would improve here.
