Radio Hammer is a very fun, underated little rhythm game. Released in 2015 by Aksys Games, it was originally a phone game released for Android and Iphone. I find it weird how underrated this game is. Theres barely any information or talk of it online from what ive seen, which is a a shame, as it deserves more love.

The premise is simple and weird. You need to keep the streets safe from danger with your hammer. You get to play as four different characters who are DJs for a pirate radio station. Each character has a different setting, different enemies to tackle and different hammer designs. Sometimes you fight...perverts in a park? While other times you are fighting aliens shaped as music notes. Its odd and yet adds to the charm of the game.

The visuals are very appealing, colorful and bright. I think the art style is nice and the backgrounds are well polished, while mainting a certain simplicity to not distract you from your main objective.

The simplicity in the gameplay can be very deceptive. Enemies come in two lanes and you have to press either one button or the other, while juggling picking up presents on the side that help boots your score. However this game gets punishingly difficult very quickly. I played almost fourteen hours of this game and I really struggled to get three stars on all stages, especially by the end of it and the wost of all was getting the achievements. One of them is getting a stage done perfectly, but the game wants such precision in your timing that its almost impossible to do. In the end I was able to 100% the game with satisfaction, but the frustration that came from it makes me think its really not worth it to get all the achievements.

The sound effects make it very addicting and satisfying to hit enemies. I think they really nailed it there. Its very fun to play and I think even though it can get repetitive, it was meant to be played in short sessions at a time. The soundtrack has some great tunes, with a a lot of variety in its genres, though some of them fall short in my opinion. Its nothing too bad and overall the games soundtrack is good and catchy.

This game has a ton of replayability with the modes you unlock after finising the main story as well as unlocking new hammers to play with and is great fun for those into rhythm games. While the genre might be saturated with other games that are much more ambitious, Radio Hammer offers a charming unique fun game that serves as a distaction and I think everyone should give it a shot. Theres a new version on the Nintendo Switch, so go try it if it peaks your interest. This game remains a hidden gem. Its a shame it never got a physical release.

Order Up!! Is a charming little hidden gem game that released on multiple platforms. Its basically a cooking game with a few management elements sprinkled in. It barely has a story, you start from the bottom working in a crappy fast food chain restaurant and start climbing your way until you reach a prestigious Michelin type restaurant to cook in and to manage.

The game itself is a lot of fun, it simulates how cooking in a restaurant feels like in real life. You are cooking and doing a bunch of things, all at the same time. Theres a bit of logic to it as well, you need to figure out the order to cook everything for your dishes to not get cold. All of the mini games feel good and work well, they are very satisfying to do. Each level also feels like it lasts as much as it should, right before the cooking gets too repetitive. Theres random extra events that can hapen too, like having to sharpen your blades or cleaning dishes for the health inspector.

The game runs well, except when you are cooking too many things at the same time, the game can lag a tiny bit in thse moments, but it isnt a huge problem and its in very specific moments that ive noticed this.

Annother thing you can do is hire extra help via the newspaper. These characters can help you do part of the cooking if it gets too overwhelming for you, and they also add a bit of fun with their commentary. The game is filled with charming goofy characters, which are very funny and helps add to the experience. The physical game even brought an apron, how adorable is that?

You need to keep track of your money, expand recipes, buy spices for food and keep your restaurant clean. Theres upgrades to make cooking faster too. For the simple game that is Order Up!! I feel like it had a lot going on for it, while maintaining its simplicity. The game holds up great even for 2023. The only bad thing is that the game feels a bit short in terms of story telling. That still didnt stop me from putting 16 hours and 30 minutes into it as the gameplay is very fun and addicting. I truly recommend this game to everyone. Its quite a shame we didnt get a Switch port or a new entry that expands on the original. Well, never say never! Maybe one day we will see it happen.

This game scratches the detective visual novel itch, if you have it. Other than that however, its not really worth anyones time. It lacks polish and charm that the director Taisuke Kanasaki is known for as his other games ( Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Last Window: The Secret of Cape West) are so much better. However, this game seems to have not had the funds to make anything better.

The characters are unlikeable af, especially the main detective. Hes super rude to everyone and its not funny at all. The main mystey is also kinda dull, its not very engaging at all. The saddest part is that it ends on a cliffhanger and we will probably never know or understand how it ends.

Only play this if you really crave a short one hour and a half mystery game, otherwise, I would skip it.
