2018

this is so fantastically beautiful. i'm at a loss for words man. so so so wonderful

This is a fabulous platformer. It would be five stars if I was reviewing this based off of a multiplayer run, but this was my first solo run, and while fun, I did find it a bit lacking, even though I played through every stage and got all the star coins and all. Definitely one of the Wii's multiplayer showcase games.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a very game. Go play it. My Puyo strategy is absolutely abhorrent and I still beat the whole story thing. My Tetris ability is horrible and I can still do that 40 lines thing under 90 seconds. This is epic.

Really neat game. I can't at all tell what the advertised 'Wario Land 4-inspired' bits are, as this plays nothing at all like that one, but who cares? It's fat guy!

I can't really advocate for this game due to kinda eternally sinking my Steam achievement percentage. Generally, it boils down to just selecting a colour and sliding my cursor over the thing for ten minutes and it's just kinda boring. Time sinks can be fun, but this one just gets repetitive really fast.

2023

A very short game. The overall concept is very interesting and I would love to see it get developed as a full experience, but seeing as it was (presumably) a product of a college game design class, it may never come to pass. The aesthetic of a pop-up book is something that just makes me smile a lot, and the character design is very cute. I could definitely see it becoming a fuller experience in the hands of someone with a lot more time on their hands.
I would rate this a five were it not for the subpar rope swinging thing. I was only able to make it up the first ledge from one of those due to a programming error I discovered. The music is generic but was probably pulled from a royalty-free library for a school assignment, so it's fair. It does drone on a bit and the looping is very unoptimized, but I think the mood is set well regardless.
If you have half an hour on your hands, I think this is a nice way to spend it.

Phenomenal game, definitely one of the best of the first month-and-a-half of the Wii's life. While Tanks is definitely one of the better parts of the set, the games all have a very unique charm to them (especially Pose Mii). Highly recommend checking it out since these are super easy to come by.

I love picross and I love the Nintendo - way more fleshed out than Zelda Picross

The gameplay loop is fun. However I don't deal well with blood in an exaggerated form like in game so I got the spooks near the end. Characters are cool (except Fukawa)

Great sequel, and doesn't have an achievement that requires that you beat a super big point 'n click in one sitting unlike the first one!

Very good point n click. Wonder if it got more influence from the Humongous games or the Monkey Island games.

I don't see why this game was made at all, and there's not even a dateable Shovel Knight.

Extremely charming. The stuff that comes out of this that isn't made by Sonic Team tends to be really goofy and great ways to expand on the characters. Story's nice, and the small action sequences are simple yet touch to an extent. The art style is just. the same as the Sonic Channel calendar arts which is just super great I love it

Very nice idle miner. There's not a whole ton to say about most idle miners, but the BGM here isn't grating and the progression is easy to wrap your head around, so it gets the seal of 'not bad but not really great either'.
