What do you mean? It's got a very similar battle system down to near identical inputs and UI on many of the action commands, similar overworld mechanics and puzzle solving, similar "badge" system, similar experience and leveling system with the same three upgrade options, similar item management, similar cooking system, similar game structure with division into named chapters, similar humor and tone, etc.
Plus the game was tentatively titled "Paper Bugs" for years and their twitter account is still named "PaperBugDev".
Bug Fables is very blatantly inspired by Paper Mario, and it isn't ashamed of that fact and doesn't at all try to hide it. Why are you ashamed of it and trying to hide it?
