I was a Nintendo boy growing up, so I missed out on a lot of the PlayStation games that everyone else is so fond about. I recently played the remaster of ratchet and clank and had a great time, so I thought I would go on a “games I missed out on” binge. Picked up the insane trilogy at a local game shop, and left pretty excited to play crash for the first time ever after all these years.

How in the hell was this Mario’s “rival”?! Even remastered it feels clunky, frustrating, and almost unplayable at times. There are very few moments of actual enjoyment, and most of the time when I finish a level I am just relieved it’s over. The bosses are terrible, wait until the obvious opening and do nothing innovative the whole time. There are two more games in this collection, and although I see many reviews saying that the sequels fix and even expand on the OGs gameplay, it’s going to be a long time before I think about picking this up again.

Waiting for a boss to have an opening is basic game design, I pray you don't play other video games.

Crash 1 is my favorite. I don't think these games are that hard, but platformers are my comfort genre. To each their own.

Toaster, he said obvious openings that do nothing innovative. If you think the boss fights are fun in this game, I pray you don’t play other video games.
