Despite not actually being based on Lovecraft's work and merely being inspired by it this is still the quintessential Lovecraftian cosmic horror game. Nothing can top Bloodborne's atmosphere.

The world, architecture and art, music, characters and lore, it's all some of the most detailed and interesting I've seen in any game. Also if you do a real deep dive into the world, it's a very philosophical game too.

However none of this would matter if the gameplay wasn't good and to me it's some of the most challenging (Yet fair) and fun gameplay at the same time, with tons of great weapons and character builds that have their own unique play-styles to give the game nearly infinite replay value. The bosses are all incredibly well designed, there's not a single level or area I dislike. Seriously everything about this game is perfect.
