This season was the first great one in a VERY long while. The last two chapters have been not the greatest due to their medicore seasons and short lengths as chapters. This season was truly great, the train was a cool new format of transportation and when mixed with the fun map made for a great traversal system. The guns in this season were also great as well as the bosses, there was also not a bad skin in the battle pass which was good and to top it all off snake and raiden are now in the game.

Sea of thieves is the greatest pirate game of all time, and it's great to see it succeed were so many other live service games have failed. A great example is the late game content which is in the form of pirate legend, it takes many 10s of hours to become a pirate legend and once you become one you are given a wide variety of new quests to do, items to buy, and adventures to be had. One thing that may be a turn off for some people are battle passes and seasons in full priced games, and I'm no exception, except in the case of sea of theives. Each plunder pass is full of well designed cosmetics as well as enough ancient coins to buy the next plunder pass, and on top of that each season they introduce TONS of new content that will keep you busy for hours upon hours. Overall I'm very glad that I went back to play this game before the PS5 launch. I'm looking forward to playing it again on my ps5 next month.

New horizons was my first animal crossing game and it was a great one at that. During the lockdown this game kept me occupied and gave me something to do everyday. It also helped that the game received substantial content updates throughout 2020 which added more stuff to do

Mario kart 8 is an amazing game, it's got great tracks, and characters which make for a fun time whenever you have five minutes spare. One day I'll fork out the 50 bucks to buy the dlc... one day

Smash ultimate is pretty good, like that needs saying. Now I'm not the biggest fighter guy but I do thoroughly enjoy ultimate. It has a great selection of characters even without the expansion packs (which I also haven't bought) as well as a great variety of stages. The campaign is nothing to write home about but it's fine for what it is.

Eh... Civilization 6 is a medicore game at best. It does nothing different from any other strategy game and feels a bit janky to control. Also, it might just be because I was playing on the switch, but MY GOD the loading screens are so long. Civilization 6 is a medicore strategy game that dosent do anything special... just play a different stratergy game cough age of empires.

I fucking love this game so much. It's the game that saved resident evil and each time I replay it I just appreciate that even more. Re7 is an absolutely perfect game.

For a start the music is phenomenal, it does an amazing job at getting a response from the player whether that's Fear, sadness, or curiosity. Also the gameplay in biohazard is top notch, it is fun throughout. This is largely due to its fun and innovative puzzles, great gunplay, and horror elements.

For me at least the worst part about re7 is the Mia portion on the ship. Now this is by no means a bad portion it's just slightly tedious at times with you having to go up and down all the time. Another fantastic portion of this game is the story, in my opinion it is one of the best in the series, while it loses me a bit at the end due to its more actiony supernatural elements it still makes for a fun time.

I think one of the main reasons for this is the games antagonists for a good chunk of the runtime, the Baker family. They get introduced first at the dinner table scene, showing their dynamics with one another and being a family were the player can already tell something is wrong with them. It's by the end of the game that you realise that the bakers were kind people until they were infected by eveline. Which makes them much more compelling 'villians' then Mr X or Nemisis because they aren't evil tyrants created in some lab, they are just a normal family who's minds have been corrupted inadvertently by their kindness.

I could ramble on for ages about this game but in short, it's a terrific game that is a good entry point for new fans whilst reviving the series for the old fans. I can not recommend this game enough, if you haven't played it already what the hell have you been doing for the past 7 years! (Side note: how the hell was 2017 seven years ago)

At a first glance this season seems great, it has new bosses, mythics, and POIs. It's when you take a second look that you realise the numerous issues with this season, it removes medallions, fun bosses, good weapons, and makes the mod benches less relevant than they already were. One thing I do like is the new Greek locations, but other than that there is nothing else that I deem worth your time in this season. Whilst this season is not very good there is still some fun to be had.

Super mario odyssey is such a perfect mario game. All the kingdoms are really fun and unique each with their own puzzles to solve. For a mario game, odyssey has a pretty great story, the idea of bowser marrying peach and them getting different wedding items from each kingdom is amazing. Not to mention how many new and funny opportunities cappy brings to the table which might make this my favourite mario game gameplay wise. I can't believe it's been 7 years since I played this game last and I'll definitely have to replay it in the future, I can not wait for the next mainline 3d mario game which will probably come out on the switch 2. Easily one of the best switch games, if you haven't played it already, what are you doing?

a few months ago I told backloggd D:OS was better than D:OS2. my heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not

you can expect my apology video shortly, I'm just looking for the right breed of dog to bring out the full flavour of how sorry I am

Parecia um jogo de celular que você precisava toda hora riscar pra passar a bola e fazer um gol. E outro motivo também que me fez droppar é que eu me recuso a jogar com os nomes americanos dos PGs.

I can't think of the last time I played a game where I mulled over its themes like this one. I do this all the time for great movies (I did this for The Zone of Interest a couple of months ago), but I don't think I've seen a story come out of a game that fully utilized its medium and was so artistically unique, quite like this one. It throws a LOT at the wall, and while not all of it sticks gameplay-wise, I still recommend people try this out. It's short (almost too short), cheap, and it'll gnaw at your brain hours after beating it.

Don't mistake me. This is a HIGH 7, and don't be surprised if it's bumped up by the end of the year, as I can only see myself appreciating this game more from here.

Destroy All Humans! 2 is a hilarious return to extraterrestrial mayhem and it continues the comedic, chaotic legacy of its predecessor.
Crypto, returns as the protagonist, bringing his signature blend of sarcasm and mischief.
While the original game set the stage with its satirical take on 1950s America, the sequel expands the extraterrestrial invasion to a global scale, offering players a hilariously skewed tour of the world.
You can now wreak havoc in parodies of the Soviet Union, Japan, the United Kingdom, and even on the Moon.

One of the standout improvements in Destroy All Humans! 2 is the increased scale of the game zones. Each area is larger and more explorable, offering a rich playground for destruction and discovery.
Overall, Destroy All Humans! 2 builds on the foundation of the first game in every meaningful way and personally, I much prefer DAH!2 over the first game.

There is a non-zero chance that Artemis becomes romanceable in the future and that slim possibility is enough for me to say that it's a 10/10 game.

Castlevania Dracula X is the infamous reversion of Rondo of Blood that the rest of the world outside of Japan got instead of Rondo of Blood itself. Here the meme of “mom, can we have Rondo of Blood? -Mom: we already have Rondo of Blood at home” totally applies.

It's actually a different game, though it's also definitely a big downgrade from the quality of the original game, but I still think it's not too bad all things considered... or maybe I'm just being masochistic.

The plot is the same, it's a retelling of Richter's story, with minor variations like Maria and Anette being sisters, or that the other damsels don't exist (no cutscenes either). The level design is also totally different, and it is also the case for the stage graphics, in this aspect I can say that Konami did a really great job, because everything looks spectacular, it is one of the best looking Castlevania games of the 16-bit era and in my opinion surpasses the original Rondo of Blood. As for the characters and enemies, here the sprites are reused from Rondo of Blood, so they look equally good, although there are also a couple of new bosses. The music is also reused, and the sound team did a great job converting the music, because despite not being CD quality, it is impressive how well it was translated.

So, let's get to the heart of the matter; the gameplay. I have to say that this game plays pretty well, the gameplay from Rondo of Blood is almost 100% translated, although the control doesn't feel quite as good, as it's a little bit clunkier (try doing the backflip or crouching too many times in a row), but it's almost identical to the original installment, and as such, it plays better than most classic Castlevanias for that fact alone (or at least it will if you have mastered the Rondo of Blood gameplay). However, the real problem with this game stems from the balancing that was given to the difficulty. Because the field of view is smaller compared to the PC-Engine game, the development team made some adjustments, like everything moves at a slower speed, they reduced the knockback that enemies generate when they hit you, and they also decreased the invincibility time they give you after being hit, so in other words, with these small changes they foolishly increased the difficulty of the game, so now it's more punishing. For example, if a medusa head hits you, it may not hit you once, but twice in a row, and this may cause you to fall into a bottomless pit and die, a cheap defeat.

Another thing is that the level design is more similar to the NES installments, so in that sense it's a step backwards. It contrasts a lot with Rondo of Blood, because that game had a perfectly balanced difficulty and level design, instead this one is a bit more challenging and punishing, so if you are not very skilled playing this kind of games you are going to have a very bad time and I don't recommend you even try it.

Things I like is how not saving Annette makes her become a boss, a concept that would be brought back for the PSP remake of Rondo of Blood. And I must say the infamous Dracula battle as well. Everyone knows that the original installment has an overly easy battle, but this time around they made it quite a bit harder, although it's not that hard if you know what you're doing. If you're equipped with the axe as sub-weapon and stay in a certain position, the first phase is like taking candy from a child, and the second phase isn't that hard, but if you're not careful you can get insta-killed.

Conclusion
Yes, the game is not that bad, except that it has a little cruel difficulty. Obviously with respect to the original Rondo of Blood it pales, because while that game felt like a premium quality Castlevania game, this one feels like an attempt to mimic that greatness, but falls short in many ways, and the fact that it wants to be a more challenging version plays against it because some parameters are not as well adjusted as they should be, making the result not so great.

However, if you are someone who enjoys the gameplay of Rondo of Blood and you are looking forward to a bigger challenge, trying this game might be a good idea, but if you are not such a fan of the classic formula, don't even dare to play this game or you will totally regret it.
