When this came out, it was awesome. Who would’ve thought a party fighting game about Nintendo characters beating each other up would be great. Each character has their own stage and stage theme music. The roster is small but was good for its first outing. Classic mode was fun which your typical arcade mode ina fighting game. It does get old and tedious. Two player is where this game shined. So many items and things to knock your friends off stage with. Today, this game does not hold up so well. The gameplay feels slow and janky and was not fun to play. A great first outting but has been made obsolete by newer releases.
