This is a confusing game. It has the Mario party humor and charm. The music slaps. The story is comical with paper puns and the rise of origami. The gameplay is ok. Sometimes it hits and sometimes it misses. There is no exp with Mario powering up with charms and collecting hearts to raise his level cap. Hammers and shoes need to be bought as they wear and break over time. The boss fights add a level of challenge and fun feeling more like puzzles than actual fights. It’s a game worth checking out with the right expectations. This not your Paper Mario 64 or Thousand year door. You have to let that go and play it for what it is, an adventure game. I miss the rpg style but I didn’t let it take away from my time playing this game. It’s fun but once your done your done. I don’t feel like I need to play it again.
