GunZ: The Duel
Loved playing with GunZ as a kid. Learning J-Style, K-Style, etc. The multiplayer offered both PvP and PvE action. Licensing of the game was so inconsistent though, it went from MAIET to Ijji to idk lol, and of course you can't forget about the awesome private server community. In terms of an actual story, however, it was a total mess. The simplistic execution that drew in skillers from all over the world (and the fact you often found yourself in their presence) was the charm itself.

True Crime: New York City
Arguably, one of the best "unreleased" games that hit the shelves until Metal Gear Solid V came out a decade later. Seriously - they had planned for a Manhattan-sized game.
The score isn't varied in particular, and some tracks were overused. But I do think it was a hallmark of the gameplay experience, balanced out by some emblematic New York songs for the licensed soundtrack. Low budget GTA: but also, not Grand Theft Auto since you're technically a cop choosing between good and evil. Your daddy was a criminal. Your mommy was... nowhere I guess?
The cast was pretty A-List, enough to compete with Rockstar's budget before IV. Your dad is Laurence FIshburne. Your boss is Mariska Hargitay. Your tentative ally is Christopher Walken.
Arresting the everyday criminal running sweatshops out of the warehouse was a fun pastime. Of course, you could also go rogue and full GTA. But that meant that consequences: if you get busted, you had to do "beat patrol" and arrest people for street crimes before being able to progress again.
The game is also known for quotes like:
"What about... my... kids."
"RRryenemuyoooo...."
"Woah there!"
"Ay! Watch the fucking furniture, will ya?"
"It's time to make like a banana and GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE"
But it is a clunky hunk, of which you have to seriously evaluate if you want to dedicate time and attention to the piss-poor controls for PC on account of the bad porting job. But it still was a great memory.
