I first attempted to play this game in 2019 or so. Man, I just couldn't do it. I appreciate what it did when it did it, but I cannot go back at this point. Old turn based games are just way too slow and ugly regardless of how good they were at the time. Having never played it in the first place and having my first experience be from a modern lens, there are just too many hurdles for me to enjoy it.
