SF3 is the final game of the Star Force trilogy, as it did get poor sales worldwide, but I think is a gem from the DS that need to be played, because it evolved more in kinda what SF2 wanted to do, and fixed the problems I had with SF2, as it had a better story overall, maybe not better than SF1 for some, but it does a great job regardless, especially in how to close this saga considering it was the last game from the series, or even bringing back some characters from SF1 and from SF2, even making them better in this game compared to the last one, there isn't almost any padding, like SF1 did, and in gameplay SF3 is the one that has more mechanics to it, the card system now is almost totally different, Mega Man can now get lots of transformations, especially because of the Multi-Noise ones, and is just a pretty fun system overall, as it brings strategy of you using what you have in hand, and being good enough using all of those cards, and some secrets in how make the battles easier, and in terms of difficulty, is maybe easier than SF2, but I think it has a better difficulty curve than any of the SF games
I think SF3 is the best one out of the three, because is what SF2 wanted to do, without his problems, and expanding on those ideas, yeah, the system changed a bit again, especially the Wave Road again, but is still a great game even with those changes, changes that weren't bad, they are great and apreciated changes, at least for me, and even if the games are divided in two games, this one is the one with the most minimal differences there is, the major ones being a card and the transformation being innacesible to the other, but I think that's a great way to these splitting game shenanigans
And there's not much more that I can say, I think SF3 is the best on out of the trilogy, not for story alone, if not because of how this one improved in the battle mechanics so much, something SF2 wanted to do, but aside of his problems, SF3 does a lot more than the sequel wanted to do, in a pretty great way, and having probably the most fun dungeons/stages ever
You can tell I love this game, so much, is one of the most fun ones I had in a while, with a great story in-between

Mega Man Star Force 2 is a divisive title, because is loved by some, and is hated by others, me, being one who hates it
SF2 improves in some ways compared to the original SF1 (more if you don't count the DX patch) as it has some gameplay changes to the game, being like the Wave World is handled different now, more cards and enemies to fight, and being a step up in terms of difficulty compared with SF1, the problem I have with this game, isn't about the gameplay in battles mostly, as this one even evolved considering Mega Man has more than just 1 transformation, and these ones do cool things, is about the story and the gameplay between battles
One thing I really liked about Star Force 1, was his story, yeah, it had some flaws sometimes, but it was pretty enjoyable to me, and the thing with Star Force 2 is, it has a straight messy story, one that isn't exciting as the first one, taking a more, villain of the week, with new characters who are kinda lame (Geo and his friends are alright), especially the villains, there's 0 villains that I liked from SF2, and getting a bit away about the themes of Stars and commets, yeah, it isn't bad to put a new setting, something to focus, that weren't about space, but the new, ancient setting, wasn't well excuted, and I actually think a bit of the lore here would be so much better if it was replaced with something else instead
And that wasn't even the last of my problems, I said the battles are fine, they are actually great, but the game has so much padding/filler than the first one, because aside of having more dumb missions to advance the story, there's the high encounter rate, one that some people don't care, but I do, and considering I used a mod/hack that lowered these, but even then I felt it was a bit high after some hours into the game, I don't want to imagine how would be if I played it without that hack, it's probably painful, and for the worst I think this Star Force has the worst dungeons out of the three, majority of them suck (the ice one if pretty fun tho)
And the ending, the ending, is just, at best okay, but dude, at that point I was already tired of this game, the unique reason I say the ending is ok, is because it has probably one of the best final bosses out from the Star Force trilogy
I just think SF2 was a good game that evolved the SF2 gameplay, but it devolved in the rest, making it for me, a kinda eh game, if you want harder battles, and you don't care that much about how the story is, because is just a bit boring, then you cuold probably enjoy SF2, much better than I did when I played it, but for now, just gonna say, I didn't like it, and that's it

Mega Man Star Force is a gem from the Nintendo DS (Considering I never played Battle Network) as it has a great story, with nice and great characters (just has a bit of filler in certain parts), a great, beautiful (but small) Soundtrack, and a great Gameplay, as it revolves about dodging the enemies attacks and attack at the correct moment with your cards to destroy the enemies, and even if it doesn't have a level up system (Games that comes to mind could be like, Paper Mario Sticker Star) at least Money is useful here and the battles are so fun that I wasn't running away from battles often, the unique down side could be his difficulty when you replay the game, as it is so much easier now than you probably started, touch controls, a problem if you play the game in not original hardware, and the splitting of content, that, even if is small (mostly the transformations), is still something
But hey I didn't talk about what DX brings, DX is a patch for Mega Man Star Force that tries to make the game feel more like his Star Force 3 counter-part, with some Quality of Life improvements, and the combination of all the content that was splitted between the 3 versions being united into one game, and of top of that it adds extra content, like bringing some cards that were just part of the Japanese Version, an extra save slot, and the most important one, if you want to have more replayibility out of the game, Legend Mode is the way to go, beause is a mode (that can be activated in any moment) that makes the game harder in his own way
Without a doubt, if you played the original Star Force, or you are new to this series, DX is for you, as it gives something to the experiment players, and Quality of life changes for people who want to experience this game for the first time
