Heavensward has all the ingredients you could ask for a good story, however some of them don'tt combine well with the final result. The expansion literally begins by telling you that you are the hero who saved the world and that you deserve that prestige and you will not be sent on errands. It doesn't take us long to discover that this is a lie, all arcs are divided into 15-20 MSQs and 70% are "go from A to B and come back", "collect these ingredients" or "slay these monsters". I guess all this is always going to take precedence in an MMORPG even if the game tells us no (I'm still a new user in this genre). Ignoring these boring parts (sigh Gnath and final one arc), the story has very high quality peaks, with unforgettable scenes and characters that help you not abandon the adventure. One last thing I wanted to comment on is how abrupt the final arc can be, it gives the impression that there are many things left to explain and tell and that they are left in the pipeline for future patches.
