It starts off quite slowly, but once the plot kicks into gear, I got completely engrossed. Beautiful graphics and music, an interesting combat system, and a well-crafted world with a mysterious nature. Probably the biggest drawback is the uninteresting characters. But it's something you can overlook

I'm not a fan of roguelikes, but I loved Hades. The gameplay loop is brilliantly executed and absurdly addictive. The story is intriguingly written, constantly pushing you to make another attempt. My only criticism is the lack of level variety, which becomes slightly bothersome after the hundredth run

I have quite a difficult relationship with Animal Well. There's a lot of exploration, finding new ways to solve environmental puzzles, but also a lot of platforming challenges. You can't help but appreciate the world-building and the creativity of the developers, but for me, it was mostly a frustrating experience. Many times I felt like an idiot, and some platforming sections drove me to madness. That's why I can't give the game more than a 3.5
