Despite the game director of Cocoon having also worked on Inside and Limbo, I found this game to be more of a "puzzle indie" than an "atmospheric indie", which I guess is fitting, given that the director was the LEAD GAMEPLAY DESIGNER on those games. For this reason, I didn't vibe with Cocoon as much. I love puzzles in games, but only when they're in service to something more substantive.

That said, I can't in good conscience dock the game too heavily for that, as the puzzles are incredibly well designed and the artistic direction is stellar. Its an incredibly unique game, and I was glued to my seat the whole time while playing it. I just wish it had a little something more to drive my curiosity.
