It‘s a Masterpiece with flaws in my opinion.

I‘m going to start off with the good things ,
This is kind of a personal taste thing but I think P4 has got the best Soundtrack in the franchise(as said tho it‘s a matter of taste). The ost for the Heaven Dungeon is peak Persona music. But my favorite has to be the Snowflakes ost , hearing it for the first time was an experience for sure.

The strongest part of P4 for me were the characters. The characters have so much more soul than the characters in Persona 3 in my opinion(I still prefer P3 over P4 btw). How the main group interacted was always so entertaining and funny , Persona 4 is easily the funniest Persona. My personal top 3 characters without ranking : Teddie , Nanako and Kanji.

The social links for the main cast like Kanji , Yosuke , Nanako and the other „main“ characters were all great. It‘s just that I didn‘t really like the social links outside of the „main“ cast. I think they are really boring besides the one with Kou and the other sports guy. I didn‘t do them all of course so I might change my opinion after replaying it in the future. I can‘t really remember how the social links were in P3 besides of the Akinari social link , but you just can‘t top the Akinari social link for me. Overall tho I think P4 has a better variety of Social Links. Btw I won‘t compare anything with Persona 5 because I still need to finish it.

When I was around the time with Namatame in the hospital where the choices you make can decide which endings you get , I was really afraid. I usually don‘t do this but I just had to read a guide online on how to avoid the bad endings. It was just one wrong choice you make and you get a bad ending. And the game has apparently 7 endings , so I thought it would have been a waste of time with all the play time I have in the game to get a bad ending you know. While I was at it I made sure to get the true ending , I don‘t regret it. There was so much more content like the Marie dungeon which I didn‘t want to miss out.
The Izanami End Boss was really annoying , but I beat his ass with my maxed out Yoshitsune :)
The Nyx endboss of P3 was much better tho , one of the best RPG bosses imo.
The ending sequence was wholesome and the ending credits got me almost tearing up.

So let‘s get going to the things I didn‘t like.
First of all the pacing ,
I hate the pacing of this game. After finishing a dungeon for example it‘s just so boring , at least it was for me. This game took me 8 months to beat so finally beating it relieved me. But when you get through it it‘s actually alright nothing game breaking.

Now to the Dungeons ,
Almost every dungeon is the same boring stuff. And there is almost no variety of enemies in the most dungeons. But at least the Dungeon soundtracks were always hitting lol.
The game still has some good dungeons. My favorite dungeon was the Adachi one. This one was actually something different and fun. The Marie and Nanako dungeons were good too.

About the Story ,
I don‘t think the story is bad , it was always exciting. It‘s just that it was always the same after a while. But that‘s not my problem. This may trigger some but I think Adachi was a bad Antagonist. Finding out that Adachi was the real culprit was a good shocking moment but how it ended was so anticlimatic for me. Adachi had so much good build-up just to end like it was nothing and nothing happend. And his motives were meh too , just your normal anime bad guy. Anyways I still think Adachi is a cool character just some wasted potential. And he is without a doubt better than the P3 antagonist , I don‘t even remember his fckn name correctly lol.

Overall Persona 4 is a JRPG classic and really lived up to the hype. A Masterpiece with flaws.
