It never feels good to back a loser, does it? I played Frogun at SAGE 2021 and thought it was fantastic, a little jank, but that can be ironed out when the game releases. Turns out it wasn't ironed out at all.
I can fully respect the work put on display here, but when it comes to actually playing it? It's just not fun. There's so many times your gun will shoot you off into another direction, straight into a wall and down a pit. Or thanks to stick drift, the camera will go wild and I'll miss a jump. One time I actually died for jumping too far upwards. Not to mention the game makes the fatal mistake that Crash 4 did of being overly abundant with collectibles. I appreciate anytime someone attempts to bring back 3D platformers; those were by bread and butter as a kid. But this isn't Hat in Time. This isn't even Yooka-Laylee. This is just a bad.
