janky asf but interesting world, great atmosphere and an amazing soundtrack by japanese breakfast. moebius artstyle is a big plus too

I've played many games with better gameplay, better mechanics, and better writing, but I have rarely played a game that exudes as much joy and passion for its subject matter as Tchia. This game is everything that it sets out to be: a love letter to New Caledonia, making it a joy to play, despite its underwhelming mechanics
This is essentially Hades, but with Kratos. That basic pitch sounds appealing enough, as it is an excuse to engage with GoW's excellent combat for a few more hours. However, what the trailers don't make apparent is that this DLC features a significant amount of important story and character development. If you are invested in Kratos' story, this DLC is basically mandatory.
That was amazing! How was this a free DLC?! Easily worth $30 to me. I had such a fantastic time getting sucked back into the world of God of War. I think I'll have to replay Ragnarok now. Simply amazing.

2 hours of content with a couple challenging boss fights and 1 (very) cool one but theres no reason it couldn't've been a postgame quest to hype up a DLC with more substance. Really looking forward to the second one because I think it'll be doing just that but this one here is a robbery.
AT LEAST they couldve given more character moments for Jill and Joshua or even the main character himself except they treat it like a side-quest where they're just bystanders.
The reward for completing this is some stronger gear, not even a Fallen themed costume set like we got in that update a while back. Big letdown for the first of 2 DLCs we got hyped up for, could've been 2 really cool new stories except it's now gonna be just 1 (hopefully...)

Positive are that we are spending more time with the party, hard and challenging boss fight, new update to the lore and on inner thoughts of the characters.
Negative, the new characters are not that interesting to be honest.
It feel like this DLC is meant to be a teaser of the the second DLC, since this one is more focused on fights and new attack mechanics. I won’t lie it was super hard for me comparing to the original game.
Fun time for the fan of ff16, can’t wait for the next one next year 😁

the story is really boring but the dungeon is cool and the fights are great. definitely a welcome addition to the game

The answer to “we have Jet Set Radio at home”.
The soundtrack massively outshines the gameplay and it lacks the polish of the Tony Hawk series, so you probably have to care at least a little about inline skating to get much from it. That said, I sunk many evenings into this as a kid and I don’t fancy taking off my nostalgia goggles just yet.
Also, Activision liked it enough to buy out the company and implement a bunch of its game design into the Tony Hawk series going forward so make of that what you will.

Probably should have bought the PS2 version, but hey the PS1 version is still a rock solid port. The game itself is perfect, they just polished the gameplay and presentation from the first 2 to a shiny gloss.
