What better way to define a golden age of videogaming creativity and innovation than making a full budget competitive frisbee game that stands on it's own next to every other arcade classic at the time?

Windjammers is simply a Pong iteration disguised as a 90's arcade fighting quarter waster, with a few mechanics added to spice up the gameplay and expand the strategic and competitive nature of that so prehistoric but engaging videogame dinossaur.

During matches you have a constant set of moves you can perform to get the upper hand on your opponent, functioning almost like a regular Tennis game, like curving your frisbee trajectory, lobbing it in the air, or even the occasional special attack, all to trick, deceive and sweat your opponent. It's a very simple setup that provides a very entertaining fast paced battle with mind games and quick reflexes between the competitors.

The presentation of Windjammers does carry a lot of the game's charm and personality, sporting a very 90's summer beach aesthetic with anime-ish characters that seem to take the frisbee sport a bit too seriously. A wonderful time in videogame history where games where all about having fun with a lot of colors, music and quick bombastic gameplay.
