Really big fan of the atmosphere, level design, and bosses here. Friede in particular is a really great boss fight, probably one of my favorites in all of Dark Souls 3

Probably the most overall solid entry in the series, having all around solid gameplay, level design, and boss design. I am NOT a fan of the changes to invasions and helping others; 9 times out of 10, you will get ganked if you invade, because the more people are in a world the higher the chance to get invaded. This means you will very rarely get invaded while playing solo, and that takes away alot of tension. That said, its a very solid single player experience that I recommend playing through.

Is it as good as 1? For the most part, no. It has worse level design, worse story, much worse theming, worse atmosphere, on and on. But, since it nailed the combat and pvp, with the power stance system and invasions always being a threat, it's still a game I enjoy quite a bit.
