Really hasn't aged the best, but I can see why some people enjoyed it. The combat is pretty good and some parts of the story aren't too bad. However, the camera is just... awful. I get it was supposed to be a Resident Evil game at one time, but they could have dealt with the camera issue more.
Also, whose idea was it to make us fight Nightmare four times?

Quite possibly the worst action game I've ever played. How people say it's better than DmC is beyond me. At least DmC's combat was still fun. Here, the combat is super clunky and stiff. The story is eh, though tolerable. But Dante could have been taken out and it would have changed nothing. The writing is pretty horrendous. I suppose the best thing about it is the gothic aesthetic, but that can only get you so far when the gameplay is terrible.

How people rate this lower than the atrocity that is Devil May Cry 2 is beyond me. Sure, the combat is simplified, the writing isn't that good, and the story/characters aren't great. But anyway, the combat is simplified, but I still find it pretty fun. Especially when you get more upgrades to said combat. Plus some of the lines did get a chuckle out of me here and there.
