I cannot explain to you the Hype I felt for this game as a Brony in 2012. This was gonna be THE My Little Pony Fangame. Every time Equestria Daily posted Updates on it I was flying high on cloud 9 in my endless excitement for the release of this game. You could see the incedlible amount of care and effort that went into the development.
The day that the news surfaced that Hasbro had killed this project I cried five gallons of tears and played river flows in you (bass boosted) for 10 hours straight until my mom came in to check on me. But she was washed away by my endless tears and sorrow, never to be seen again.
Later the Tribute version came out

I UNDERSTAND. GOTY
amongst my 121 hours spent playing, i managed to watch dungeons & dragons (2023) & the nearly three hour long history of rpgs which improved my experience tenfold. THIS GAME SAVED RPGS!!!! A RETURN TO FORM!!! All the endings were cute, I loved Karlachs little hell moment. And if you decide to control the brain I love that your tav says dialogue in the cutscene (that never happens?!?)
Anyway I think I’ll make an evil character tomorrow and start over again LOL

Really liked the game. Story was enjoyable but had such an anti-climatic ending when chosen ton "resist". Weapons are fun, side missions are fun, basically I thought the whole game was fun! reason for 4 stars is because of the ending.

Feels a full 20 years older than it is. Not in a fun, throwback way, in a clunky, outdated way. It also looks awful, runs terribly, and has the personality of a middle schooler trying to be edgy

I think the characters of Ink Machine were a lot more iconic than the characters of this game. Other then that, Dark Revival is a massive improvement over Ink Machine in every way.
The Ink Demon could slice my stomach open and I would say "thank you"
